Handicapped Scuba Association Volunteer Divers Of America
This site is dedicated to maintaining a list of HSA, PADI and other Open Water or higher level certified scuba divers who have agreed to volunteer their time and efforts at "no charge" to 1) assist HSA certified instructors
during the course of certification courses for handicapped divers and/or 2) assist HSA certified divers as their "Dive Buddy" during the course of
their recreational diving activities. Particular focus, recently, has been a desire to help with veterans through the Wounded Warrier Project
and SUDS - Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba.
The exhilaration experienced by handicapped divers on their first open water dives can be so uplifting and so encouraging. The
reward to HSA Certified Dive Buddies is immeasurable when you realize that you have helped someone recover their personal confidence and rediscover their
zeal for living. Take the first step by adding yourself to the list below. Help a Wounded Warrior take a Tour of the Reef - you'll be glad you did!
